Join Catherine Summers for an intimate afternoon of classic Jazz....
A message from Catherine Summers:
It’s been a little while since I’ve done a show. I’ve taken some time out to head over to Europe — to catch up with family, soak up the Parisian skies, and reflect on life, love, and friendship. After some much-needed rest and inspiration, I’m so looking forward to reconnecting and sharing a beautiful afternoon of music with you.
Time: 2.30pm Doors | 3pm Show
Where: The Red Room, upstairs The Leederville Hotel
... with a food and drinks special to ticket holders for before or after the show!
What a joy it will be to share timeless music, and I can’t wait to bring you a collection of jazz favourites that have stood the test of time. Expect an afternoon of dulcet tones and a relaxed, down-to-earth feeling like we've all known each other for years.
Together with my treasured musicians — including Vaughan Jameson on guitar, Shane Pooley on double bass, Dan Harrison on drums , Jackson VanBallegooyen on Keys and Alistair McEvoy on Sax — we’ll take you on a journey through The Great American Songbook, featuring beloved songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, and more.
With toe-tapping classics and beautiful ballads spanning nine decades, including favourites like I’ve Got You Under My Skin, What A Difference A Day Makes, Cheek To Cheek, Cry Me A River, and many others. We’ll kick things off with an upbeat Charleston number and move through a rich selection of swing, blues, and soul-infused jazz.
